I love using my iPhone. So far it’s done everything I’ve asked of it, quickly and with no complaints. If anything, it’s almost TOO usable.
My brother posted to his blog the other day from his iPhone using an application called iBlogger, and after seeing that, I just had to try it out. All I can say at this point is “wow!”
I’m at a location with no free Internet access, so I figured that this would be a good time to try it out. I’ve configured my home and work blog, so let the mobile blogging begin!

”Yeah, #2 consumer electronics retail store and we’re forced to close our doors because the economy failed us and now 34,000 employees are without jobs, all because people didn’t wanna go out and spend money so we could keep operating.”
I’m not sorry that the people at Circuit City are losing their jobs when I see a comment like that. I owe you NOTHING. I think it’s nice to think that in tough economic times people are keeping their money and spending it on food and clothing instead of flat-screen TVs.
Julie and I did stop by the store when we were out one night and we ended up getting her a new laptop. I looked at it as an investment now that her teaching is bringing in paychecks. I don’t feel like a vulture or “bad” because I bough something from a store that’s going out of business.
Most people I have ever know have lost a job or been laid off at some point in their life. If working at Circuit City is the only job that you’ve had, then maybe you need to get out a bit.
Here is the link to the article where I read that line.

I stopped to pick up some Taco Bell yesterday for lunch, on my way to Kevin’s, and I had a moment where I was feeling thoughtful. Basically, what happened was that I realized that there was a time in my life where I would have been at a Taco Bell window and would be dreading the possibility that the clerk would come back and tell me that my debit card was declined. It’s a sad day when you don’t have enough money to buy Taco Bell, but for a long time, I lived from paycheck to paycheck. This is not the happiest way to live, but I didn’t have the discipline at the time to do any different.
As I got a little bit older and decided that there are some things I want more than Taco Bell, it became MUCH easier to start saving money, saying “no,” and generally becoming more fiscally responsible. I know I’m not perfect, but I do have to say that it was really satisfying to know that if I go to a drive-through in the future, it will be genuine shock that I get to display if my card is ever declined.
