Random conversation I just had…
You’re now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi!
Stranger:
You:
You: Who?
Stranger: hi
Stranger: this girl i talked to
Stranger: i hate her
Stranger: on omegle
Stranger: bye
You: Okay
You: that was quick
Stranger: girl
You: not quite
Stranger: nice of you
Stranger: one of a kind
You: Too true
You: so, anyway, what made you hate the girl you were talking to?
Stranger: too much attitute
Stranger: i just said i was 20
Stranger: see disconnected me
Stranger: i didn’t even say i am male
Stranger: i mean i don’t care
Stranger: damn
You: don’t care about what? That she didn’t know your gender, or that she disconnected after you shared your age
Stranger: i just said i am 20 then she just disconnected me
Stranger: at lease say bye
Stranger: least*
You: Yeah, then again, it’s not like that sounds like someone worth being polite to
Stranger: yeah your right
Stranger: she probably had a long day
Stranger: or night
You: I know one of the issues that some people have with age is that most “kids” don’t effectivly communicate.
You: I’m not being critical, mind you
You: but it takes time to develop conversational skills
Stranger: well it is not like i take peoples email
Stranger: i just wanna talk
Stranger: only
Stranger: thats it
Stranger: no personal info
You: That’s the thing. All the forms that we observe in our written communication exist in our spoken communication, too.
You: When you don’t use them in written conversation, it makes it hard to get a good feelign of what you are really saying
You: I mean, I’m not great at it, either, but talking in complete sentances, using propper grammer and a close approximation of spelling makes it much easier to “talk,” as you put it
Stranger: thank you for trying to help
You: Know what I mean?
Stranger: :)
Stranger: yeah
You: Nah, I’m just rambling
You: I mean, now that I’m a bit older, I actually understand WHY some people are so sensitive about age
You: (I’m only 31 and I feel like an old fogey, sometimes)
Stranger: yeah but people think that they are going to find the person of there dreams in omegle
You: So, what did you want to talk about? (now that I’ve gone on and on)
You: Really? I think that’s the dream of youth…
You: The desire to have the movie-style happy ending
Stranger: hahaha
Stranger: nice
Stranger: lol
You: Well, it’s true! Look at the principle of what you were talking about
You: so many people think that the “soul mate” that they are searching for will be found in a totally random encounter
You: like in a television show, or in a movie
You: however, it is statistically VERY unlikely that you will meet a compatible person randomly…
Stranger: i blame on the disney channel
Stranger: haha
You: They sure do love that kind of thing
You: I’ll be right back
Stranger: yeah i really am just here to meet people across the world
You: I need to grab a drink
Stranger: well bye i need to go
Stranger: cool
