Death Threats are NEVER in Style
The situation: A teacher is put on leave for putting comments like “had a good day today, DIDN’T want to kill even one student 
. Now Friday was a different story” and “Does anyone know where I can find a very discrete hitman? Yes, it’s been that kind of day…” (It’s PAID leave, BTW)…

The claim: She is being attacked because two years ago she wrote an article about how difficult it is to be black in a small school.
My thoughts: How stupid do you have to be to not only post THREATS of any kind on a public, online forum, but to then claim that you are being persecuted because of your criticism of the school. With the number of shootings at schools, military bases, workplaces and coffee shops, I would like to think that the appropriate response would be, “I’m sorry, I made some jokes in very poor taste and I won’t do it again.”
I have had to swallow my pride several times recently. I don’t like to do it, but when it comes to the end of the day, you need to wake up and realize that you are NOT some glamorous freedom-fighter who is holding out against injustice. You are just a middle-age teacher who’s pissed that she got called out. Just swallow that pride and save the threats for friends who can tell when you are joking or not.
